Salahaddin University (Zankoy Selaheddîn in Kurdish) is located in Arbil (Hewler), capital of Kurdistan Region of Iraq. One of the oldest and largest institutions of higher learning in Kurdistan Region, Salahaddin University was established in 1968 and was originally based in Sulaimaniya.
